LESSON INFORMATION > LESSON POLICY

New Payment Method
As of September 1st 2005, to streamline our operations, we are going to a monthly billing schedule. Each month, our clients will be billed the same amount depending the duration and conditions of the lessons. We understand that some months have 4 weeks and some have 5 weeks. The new fees are listed as averages based on our current fees with discounts for extended enrollments.

  • Exceptions: If the student has a wildly erratic schedule from time to time or on a given month, the student can schedule individual lessons at a different rate.

Tuition Policy
Tuition is due at the beginning of the month (no later than the 10th). A $5 late fee will be charged to tardy payments for each week after the 10th. Tuition is non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy
Opus Music requires at least 24 hours notification of any cancellations. Notifications given within 24 hours of the lesson is considered unexcused and cannot be made up. We thank you for respecting your instructor’s time and commitment to being here at the scheduled lesson times.

Make-up Lessons
Rescheduled lessons must be completed within a month or the lesson is lost. Arrangements can be made to have an hour lesson on a week that doing so is feasible or lessons can be made up on another day that the teacher can be (or is already) at Opus.

National and School Holidays
Students who have regular lessons on Mondays and Fridays will have to deal with a couple holidays throughout the year. In these cases, the teacher will make himself or herself available on another day of that week. Another option would be for the instructor to do an hour lesson when feasible.

Pick-ups and Drop-offs
When being dropped off at Opus Music for lessons, young children should be accompanied by an adult. Similarly, we ask that children be picked up after their lessons in a timely manner after the lesson is completed. Children are not allowed to wait on the sidewalk by the storefront unattended.

Teacher Initiated Schedule Changes
In the event that your instructor at Opus Music is unable to be present during a regularly scheduled lesson time, the lesson will be covered by another instructor or will be rescheduled for another date. There will be no one-month time frame imposed on make-ups for schedule changes initiated by the instructor.
